Thirteen certain and three possible examples are known of this ?exclusively British type. The most significant decorative element is the 4th century 'Constantinian' Chi-Rho monogram. Function fonts, vessels for ritual ablutions, or water containers in cemeteries. No evidence for a common centre of manufacture in spite of similar construction.
