Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Both are made of silvered bronze; one is almost totally undecorated while the second bears a design resembling a four-petalled flower, and a dot-and-circle pattern. Comparable pieces from the continent are cited. Both mirrors, with their low convex moulded borders edged by one or more concentric circles dividing them from the body of the mirror, form part of a distinct group, probably made at Nijmegen. Several are of 1st century date but the Corbridge pieces are probably of the 2nd century. A T | |||||
