Abstract:
It is suggested that the incomplete marching camp, which is on the frontier of Brigantian territory, may be associated with Cerealis' first century AD campaign. There is also a double ring palisade enclosure typical of indigenous settlements prior to Romanisation. Burial remains are recorded in a `Report on the remains of human skeleton' by B Westley (56-7).
