Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Presents the results of excavations in advance of building work on the interior of the ringwork. Documentary evidence is cited for the history of the site and its association with Robert de Brus and the Danby Estate. Two trenches were excavated: the southern trench revealed a 4m wide ditch and stone revetment (possibly a bridge abutment) and the northern trench revealed the foundations of an agricultural building of unkown date. A short report on the finds includes `The Pottery' (46) by B E Vyner and note on the padstones. | ||||
