Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Three inscribed sandstone slabs were found in recent excavations near Cahir, Co Tipperary, at an Early Christian site which is identified with the seventh century saint Beccán. Comparisons are made with the data from a previous excavation in 1944, and a discussion of the slabs follows their detailed description. A reading of one incomplete inscription suggests a reference to St Beccán. TGF |
