Abstract:
Publishes a letter from the President to the Secretary of State for Scotland, asking that scheduling of new sites be carried out more quickly and that existing scheduled sites be protected from passive neglect as well as active destruction. The Secretary of State's reply is also published, in which the achievements of the scheduling programme are highlighted and policies for tackling the problem of neglect are outlined. The article then notes the publication of the 1992 Annual Report of the Ancient Monuments Board and HS's Corporate Plan for 1993.
