An area of training trenches constructed in Pullingshill Wood near Marlow Common by various troops at the beginning of World War I, during 1915--16, were researched and investigated by Archaeology in Marlow following receipt of a grant from the Local Heritage Initiative. A full survey was carried out in 2005, and military experts have provided interpretation of the design of the trenches. LD | |
