This article presents highlights from work that staff of the Historic Environment Planning Services for Bedford Borough have undertaken or had some involvement with in 2012. This includes the excavation of a Beaker burial and further work on a high-status Saxon burial discovered in 2011; the scanning of hard-copy documentation held within the Bedford Borough Historic Environment Record; and extensive work in conjunction with Marston Vale Trust towards making a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the design and implementation of a heritage interpretation strategy within Bedford River Valley Park. An appendix summarises a number of development-related fieldwork projects recently undertaken by various contractors. LD | ||||||
