In 2012 the North Oxon Archaeology Group extended the excavation area at Swalcliffe Lea Roman settlement where it has been digging since September 2010. This short report describes and discusses the findings regarding the late Roman building at this location, which has now been identified as a corridor house. Overall the Group now have excavation records for over ten buildings at the settlement and records for a similar number of structures revealed by farming operations over the last fifty years. A picture is emerging of a relatively prosperous village or small town where all the buildings were of stone or at least had stone foundations, with paved streets and stone- and timber-lined wells, and where metalworking was carried out through all the Roman occupation.
