Outlines the provisional results from archaeological investigations undertaken in 2011 in advance of development adjacent to Higham Road in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire. Following evaluation by geophysical survey and trenches, an area of about 1.8 hectares was excavated. The majority of the archaeological evidence derived from a Romano-British settlement, although the presence of small quantities of flint flakes and late Bronze Age pottery hinted at pre-Roman activity. | ||||||||
