Abstract:
Reports on the skeletal remains found in an area thought to be part of the parish cemetery attached to the church of St James, which is located to the northwest. Details of the five articulated skeletons and the large amount of disarticulated bone are discussed in the section on `Analysis of the human bone' by Sophie Lamb & Geraldine Barber (52--3). The fourteenth- to fifteenth-century radiocarbon date produced from one of the skeletons is considered appropriate for the rest of the shroud-burial group.
