Abstract:		 Reports on a programme of field survey undertaken in 1983 and 1985 in response to the threat posed by erosion. The survey was supplemented by environmental investigation and excavation, and two sites were investigated in detail (a cairn of likely BA date at Jepson's Gate and a Mesolithic flint scatter at Rushy Brow). A `Survey of the modern vegetation' is provided by M Bain (137--8). `Previous collections of lithic material from Anglezarke Moor' are reviewed by H Bamford (138--43). The methodology and results of `The Anglezarke survey' are described by J Quartermaine (143--6) The `Results of palynological research' at Jepson's Gate are reported by B Barnes (149--53). Various lithic finds are examined.
