Abstract:
SC 452936. Rescue excavation of a large mound revealed it as a natural feature utilized for: (1) a burning pit and cremation burials by users of Ronaldsway Late Neolithic pottery; (2) three cists, inhumations and a scattered cremation, with Food Vessel pottery; and (3) three miniature cists and a skin-bag cremation (probably late features). Of three 14C dates, one appeared anomalous. Appended is a report on the skeletal material (ten burials, thoroughly cremated but the fragments not assiduously collected).
