Abstract:
SU 527370; 498303. Palaeoeconomic evidence is compared for two M3 motorway sites, a 'banjo' enclosure in Micheldever Wood and the three Iron Age phases of a site on Winnall Down. Superficially the sites presented a similar range of crops and weeds, but differences in crop selection and processing were detectable by refinements in analysis. Methods of grain storage are also discussed.
