Abstract:
Highlights some issues in osteoarchaeology which seem neglected or deserving of far more attention in the next decade or two, including palaeodemographic aspects (ageing and sexing), the measurement of bone and teeth, skull thickness, non-metrical traits, palaeopathology and palaeoepidemiology, Paget's disease and the chemistry of calcified tissue. The issue of collecting, curating and reburying bones is also briefly reviewed.
