Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Settlement in the north-eastern section of the woodland manor of King's Norton from prehistoric times into the medieval period is discussed. Evidence derived from archaeology, place-names, documents, and cartography indicates a largely dispersed settlement pattern, with some continuity from Roman times onwards. The medieval developments are traced, including assarts, moated dwellings, sub-manors and hamlet formation. | |||||||
