The evidence from two previously excavated sites -- Slades Paddock and Finchingfield -- is here brought together and interpreted on the basis of foundation and artefactual data as representing a high status medieval house, defunct by the late seventeenth century. Finds included window-lead, a dagger, buckle, lead alloy spoon, and part of a Purbeck stone mortar. | |||||
