Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A hoard of eight LBA socketed axes is described. The cache comprises six South Walian or Stogursey-type axes, another of a closely related type, and a Wallington or `A' type axe. These are tentatively dated to the seventh to ninth centuries BC. An excavation at the findspot brought to light no ancient features. Other recent discoveries are also described. These extend the distribution pattern of finds into mid and west Wales. The nature of casting and mould making is also discussed. | |||
