Presents the thesis that, in the period AD 60-70, rather than concentrating on civil and especially urban reconstruction, the Romans were making plans for resuming the conquest of Wales and possibly also for initiating that on Brigantia. Much of the credit for the success of the campaigns of 71-8 is laid on Trebellius Maximus' work in 65-9. |
