Abstract:
Since the publishing of a large Iron Age sherd from Prittlewell, decorated with a curvilinear pattern (see Essex Archaeol Hist 15, 1982, 128--9), there have been discoveries of several other examples. It is suggested that henceforth this type should be referred to as the Mucking-Oldbury style. There is a short gazetteer of known examples and a distribution map. IH
