The results of a sample excavation of a LBA circular enclosure are reported. Finds recovered during quarrying south of the enclosure in the 1930s are also described. These sites are considered in relation to the excavation of the LBA enclosure at Springfield Lyons nearby and the LBA settlement pattern in the valley is discussed. `The flint' is reported by R Holgate (8), and the `Carbonised plant remains' by P Murphy (8-9). | ||||||||||||
