Limited rescue excavations on a heavily ploughed site uncovered part of a settlement occupied from late 1st to early 4th centuries AD. Ditches, pits, postholes, rubble spreads, a shallow ?well, and associated timber building were attested, together with a substantial assemblage of box-flue tiles and a useful quantity of animal bones.
