Further investigations inside and outside showed no trace of the previously postulated Saxon church. The E end of the present church was elucidated. Numerous burials lie within the church, there is much of the 13th/14th century scissor-braced roof remaining, a Romanesque window reveal was found, and the 14th century tower stair has white Flemish bricks. | ||||||||||||
