Excavations revealed three phases of activity. Phase 1 comprised a Romano-British kiln and flue, a small amount of quernstone and pottery. Phase 2 dated to the eleventh to fourteenth century and comprised pits containing domestic refuse and a burgage plot boundary. Phase 3 was represented by the late nineteenth-century construction of a large building and subsequent twentieth-century alterations. | |||||||||||||
