Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Terraces of crucks have hitherto been an unknown phenomenon in the British Isles, but one has been discovered in Much Wenlock in Shropshire. While there can be no doubt that the five cells constitute a terrace, the interpretation of the block remains tentative. Comparisons with other box-framed medieval terraces and semi-detached cruck dwellings are made. | |||
