Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Two ring dials found during repair work at Conway Castle in the 1930s are published. Both have lost the secondary ring which, sliding in the groove of the main ring, would set the dial appropriately for reading sun time. In a test of their accuracy, Dial 1 was found reasonably accurate for the months of August to May, but Dial 2 was unusable. The probable date lies in the later part of the 15th-early 19th century range. | ||
