Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Examination of the spatial dynamics of the burial ground through dated monuments reveals the process of burial via a spread of memorials. These start inside the church and to the south, then spread to the west. The area north of the church and many peripheral areas came into use in the second half of the eighteenth century, followed by a brief period of infilling of older burial areas and then a shift back to the use of more marginal areas. Some small family clusters can be identified. Change in the choice of monument types over time is also demonstrated. | ||||||||||
