Abstract:
Reports the 1992 discovery of a burial site in the Harpenden area. Situated on what is now arable farming land and subsequently relatively damaged, six burials were hastily excavated in advance of sowing. Some ceramics and glass were found although the burials are not described as rich. A provisional date of the second century AD is given for the site, with a proviso that the full extent cannot be known without further investigative work.
