Abstract:
Summarising previous investigation of the site and noting the threat from erosion, this article reports the 1993 excavations. These revealed new information about the topography of Carr Naze, the structure, layout and occupation of the signal station and the post-Roman history of the site. The pottery assemblage associated with the occupation is dated to the late-fourth or early-fifth century AD.
