Discusses fifteen dates for sites in the area. Most of the samples are from the site at Mill Hill near Deal and support the evidence provided by grave-goods of burials from the Iron Age through to the pagan Anglo Saxon period. Dates for pits which produced Neolithic Grooved Ware are the first radiocarbon determinations for the pottery-type available from Kent. Bronze Age dates were obtained from the submerged landsurface in Lydden Valley, Hacklinge, and the round barrow at Eythorne. | |||||||||||||
