An account based on plans and notes supplied by the director of the 1961-62 dig, R E Chaplin. This is the first site to have produced clear evidence for pre-Roman Belgic occupation in Rochester, including coin pellet moulds. Evidence for the trajectory of Watling Street was also found. Appended, there is an `Examination of coin pellet moulds from Rochester' by Paul Wilthew (49--50). | ||
