Abstract:		 An evaluation consisting of thirty-seven trenches and the excavation of seven large areas which revealed evidence of prehistoric activity, predominantly of Later Bronze Age date, and some limited RB and medieval activity. There are specialist reports on `Late Bronze Age pottery' by Alistair Barclay (124--32), `Iron Age and Romano-British pottery' by Paul Booth (132--3), `Worked flint' by Philippa Bradley (134--7), and the BA `The human bone' which was recovered from three contexts in cremated form is written up by Angela Boyle (137--8).
