A desk-top study and field evaluation led to the discovery of evidence for a site of medieval date. Subsequent excavations revealed a medieval farmstead. Finds reports include:`The pottery' detailed by Jane Timby (212--16); `The animal bone' by Kevin Reilly (216); `Struck flint' by Theresa Durden (217); `Metalwork' by David Richards (217); `Charred plant remains' by John B Letts (217); shellfish - being a few oyster shells in one dwelling; `The stone' by David Williams (219); and a small quantity of burnt flint.
