Brief reports on sites recently excavated by the Trust. \r\n\r\nSites in Canterbury: a Late Iron Age Roman site at Augustine House, Rhodaus Town, with late Roman burials and traces of early and later medieval and post-medieval occupation; late prehistoric, Anglo-Saxon, medieval and post-medieval remains at Canterbury Christ Church University Sports Centre; a post-medieval culvert at Longport; post-medieval activity at Kings School, St Augustine's Abbey; Roman, medieval, and post-medieval features at St Mary's Church, Northgate, including part of the Roman town wall; and post-medieval mill buildings at No. 1 Westgate Grove. \r\n\r\nSites outside Canterbury: an extensive multi-period (Mesolithic to medieval) site at Thanet Earth, Monkton; evidence of Middle Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Roman and Anglo-Saxon activity at Ringlemere, Woodnesborough (including Anglo-Saxon inhumations); Late Bronze Age settlement and medieval ditches at Claxfield Farm, Lynsted; nineteenth and twentieth century military installations at Mid Kent College and Lower Lines, Brompton; evidence of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age settlement, and a possible nineteenth century guardhouse at Sally Port, Royal School of Military Engineering, Brompton; and redeposited remains from the 1950s excavations at Lullingstone Roman Villa.
