Abstract:
Summary of the excavation of a partially water-logged settlement situated on a man-made island linked to the shore by a timber causeway. The deposits comprised mainly midden material and structural and occupation debris. Two main periods of occupation separated by a phase of flooding were recognised. Twenty thousand sherds of Neolithic pottery were recovered.
