Recent excavations have confirmed the reality of a Neo presence in the interior of the site, with palisade slots yielding Lyles Hill pottery and 14C dates in 3rd millennium. No enclosure ditch has yet been found; some of the 14C determinations from the low bank enclosing the site are earlier and later than would be expected for Iron Age works. | ||||||
