A full mailcoat covered a burial lying on chariot wheels with iron tyres; no weapons were found but the chariot frame was detectable, inverted over the body. Another barrow with very large gravepit contained a woman and baby; above it was an Anglian burial of a pregnant woman. Another burial had a fine sword and three upright spears. Nearby was a ?Neo enclosure overlaid with a square Iron Age one; and two small barrows covered horse burials. Excavator: Ian Stead. | |||||||||||||||
