Twenty years' research on an unploughed site have yielded evidence for a long series of occupations: a Neo causewayed enclosure, a Neo-BA ceremonial site with a long and complex development, a hillfort with rectangular and then circular buildings, a millennium of disuse, and then post-Roman occupation in sunken huts and an enclosed high-status site. Aggressive attacks occurred in Neo, Iron Age, and post-Roman times. | |||||
