Nearly 2ha of the village have been dug over six years, revealing 61 structures (including only four with sunken floors) and, in the more protected deposits, a wealth of artefacts and environmental data. All the most closely datable objects fall in 7th century and some of them show distant trade. Environmental analysis is proceeding; stock were raised and barley grown just as in EIA-RB times. | |||
