Abstract:
Looks at the implications for English Heritage's work of the provisions of the Leasehold reform, housing and urban development act 1993 and considers the Act in the context of the history of English leasehold law. Essentially, by extending the `right to buy' to include high rateable value properties, the Act threatens the continued integrated management of some of England's most historic estates. The role of the Urban Regeneration Agency is also noted.
