Describes an initiative by the Monuments Protection Programme and Listing Team to provide an overview of important remains of wartime defences. The recording process started by the Defence of Britain project needs to be carried further so that sites can be characterised to allow informed judgements to be made about their management and designation. To this end, several studies are being undertaken, and the results of one of these -- covering the Operation Diver anti-V--bomb network -- are summarised. | |
