Abstract:
Describes the author's recent dive on U-260, a World War II German submarine that was scuttled a few hours after striking a mine off Glandore, Co Cork, in March 1945. The wreck is regarded as the most intact vessel of the class V11 C U-boats. Includes two brief untitled notes, one by Tom Kennedy (19) on what became of the submarine's crew, the other by Paddy O'Sullivan (20) detailing the wreck's condition.
