Abstract:
Explores the applications of computer modelling techniques in archaeology, and compares the usefulness of solid versus surface modelling for these applications. A well preserved Hoffman limekiln at Langcliffe near Settle has been modelled using a surface modelling package. The use of AutoCAD software is recommended for archaeological units who may wish to undertake similar modelling work themselves.
