Reports on experience of AutoCAD for the Deansway [Worcester] Project of the Hereford-Worcester Archaeology Section. Use is made of Ventura and Gem Draw to produce publicity leaflets, cover designs, slide title boards, overlay maps, site plans, etc, with backup archive on optical disc. The AutoCAD has been adapted to mainly menu-driven use. Context information can be retrieved and merged into context group plans, etc. Boring work has been reduced and the mouse has been happily accepted in place of the Rotring. |
