The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Reports that ten sunken-featured buildings, a possible post-built structure and isolated pits and postholes were located during an excavation at the site. A wide range of finds were recovered from the sunken-featured buildings, including a bone pin made from walrus ivory. Documents a series of four radiocarbon dates, which produced a range of between AD 430--990, and which place the site firmly in the Middle Saxon period. One slightly earlier building dates from the fifth to the late-seventh century AD. The settlement is 150 metres to the south-west of a Saxon cemetery, which was dated to the fifth century when it was excavated in the 1970's. Includes separately authored reports on:
