Excavation of the promontory fort, which is being recreated as a display for the public, aimed to recover the internal plan and to trace and explain changes over time. Seven round houses and a number of hut scoops suggest a population of 50-100 people, and there was a metalworking area. The settlement was defended by two banks and a chevaux-de-frise. | ||||
