Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A segmented Bronze Age cist was discovered close to Newtownstewart Castle, County Tyrone, in 1999. Each chamber of the cist was found to contain a pile of cremated bone and a highly decorated bipartite bowl. One of the cremations had a hollow-based arrowhead within it. Radiocarbon determinations of the cremated bone suggest that the cremations were not contemporaneous and raise the question of the curation of human remains.
