Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Short item in appreciation of Paul Courtney, latterly co-editor of Post Medieval Archaeology, who died in 2013. Paul was one of the most wide-ranging archaeologists of his generation and an active member of a great many societies, with a truly global perspective on medieval and later archaeology. His training as a historian informed his approach to the past in general and to archaeology in particular, giving him a breadth of vision that enabled him to grasp the bigger picture. His ability to express complex issues in words with great clarity and directness was used to great effect in the considerable legacy of published works that he left behind. LD | ||
