Abstract:		 Discusses the results of recent field-walking at the site of the works-depôt of Legio XX Valeria Victrix at Holt, Clwyd, and their relation to previously published material, including the Holt Collection of material excavated in 1907--1915 by T A Acton and published in 1930 by W R Grimes. Unpublished material discussed includes that collected by Mr G Bevan from 1969 to 1981, and its relationship to the samian published by Grimes. The report discusses activity in the area in both the earlier and later Roman period, including dating evidence, comparative material and the relationship of Holt to Chester. Includes
