Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The region's high quality pollen record was used to supplement its inadequate archaeological database. Broad spatial and temporal patterns were recognised which reflected the landscape and cultural/climatic influences, complementing excavation evidence. The implications for the region's archaeology and settlement history are discussed. `C14 dated pollen diagrams from the Tyne-Tees region' are listed in an appendix (61--2). | |||||
